Cycle through the 100-year-old Long Biên Bridge, visit an ancient village, and explore Co Loa Citadel, an old fortress that attracts many foreign tourists for its historical and cultural value. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Vietnam from your local guide. This is a great way to see a different side of Hanoi and to experience the rural life of the Red River Delta.

Itinerary

This one-day bike ride takes you from the busy streets of Hanoi to the ancient Co Loa citadel and the rural villages of the Red River Delta.

You will start your day by meeting your local guide at your hotel in Hanoi. After a short transfer to the garage, you will begin your ride across Long Biên Bridge, the first steel bridge spanning the Red River in Hanoi.

Once you are on the other side of the river, you will cycle along the dike into the rural area of Hanoi. You will visit an ancient village located by the Red River, where you may meet a master of martial arts or a retired person with beautiful bonsai trees.

You will then take a ferry across the Duong River to the area where people live off of agriculture. You will cycle from village to village, through rice fields and friendly people. You will arrive at Co Loa citadel around noon.

Co Loa citadel is an old fortress that attracts many foreign tourists for its historical and cultural value. You will have the opportunity to explore the citadel and learn about its rich history.

Lunch will be provided in a local restaurant or a picnic lunch can be arranged.

In the afternoon, you will cycle back to the garage and take a taxi back to your hotel. The tour is completed at approximately 4:00 p.m.
