Hoi An

Hoi An, formerly known as Fai-Fo or Faifoo, is a city of Quang Nam Province. It was noted since 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Old Town Hoi An, the city’s historic district, is recognized as an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and street plan reflect a blend of indigenous and foreign influences.

Long Chu Festival takes place on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month in coastal villages of Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. This festival of the boatmen living around Hoi An is believed to hold back epidemics and diseases in the transition of a season.
