Dai Lanh Cape is located in Hoa Tam Commune, Dong Hoa District, Phu Yen Province, about 35km to the southeast of Tuy Hoa City. It is considered as one of two east poles in mainland of Vietnam (the other is Doi Cape in Khanh Hoa Province).

Dai Lanh Cape is a branch of Truong Son mountain range stretching to the sea. It was discovered and included in nautical chart in late 19th century by the French. The cape was called Varella. In 1890, the French built a lighthouse here for maritime navigation. However, Dai Lanh Vung Ro was a coastal military base during the Vietnam War, when it welcomed nameless ships that carried weapons for the southern battlefield. The light house was closed until 1997.

Dai Lanh Lighthouse is 26.5m high from the ground and 110m above sea level. This solar powered lighthouse can be seen from a distance of 27 nautical miles. Climbing 110 wooden stairs to the top of the lighthouse, visitors can contemplate the immense blue sea and sky, Bai Mon – a pristine beach, breathtaking cliffs.

On the road to Dai Lanh cape, visitors see a beautiful and peaceful beach, which is named Bai Mon, with white and smooth sand washed by gentle waves. Standing in the light house one can enjoy the vast view of the sea.
