Chuc Thanh Pagoda is located in Cam Pho Ward, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, about 2 km from the center of Hoi An.

The pagoda was founded at the end of the 17th century by Priest Minh Hai, making it the oldest Buddhist pagoda in Hoi An. Featuring a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese architectural designs, the temple houses a marble statue of Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy), intricate animal carvings, lacquered pillars, and 16 grave towers of eminent monks.

Chuc Thanh Pagoda is regarded as the birthplace of the “Thien Tam Te” religion, where antique ritual objects such as a 200 year-old stone gong, a carp-shaped wooden gong, and several bells are still in use to this very day.

The pagoda was renovated in 1956 and 1964. Outside the pagoda there is a statue of Quan The Am Bo Tat and the tombs of Minh Hai, Thiet Tho, An Bich, and Thien Qua priests. Pilgrims come to Chuc Thanh Pagoda to worship Tam The Phat, Di Lac, and La Han. It is now managed by Buddhist Priest Thich Tri Nhan.
