We will pick you up at 08:30 and ride you through numerous streets from District 1 to Binh Thanh District. Then walk into a hidden oasis away from the outside noise of bustling Saigon known as the Tomb of Marshal Le Van Duyet – a general during Nguyen Dynasty who helped unify the country. Built in 19th century, this place is more well-known with local residents other than tourists. People worship and respect Le Van Duyet as a god-like status not only with his colorful history, but also to his greatly governance turning Saigon into a bustling and prosperous region.
After the tomb, we ride to the neighborhood to visit a hidden 60-year-old coffee shop using their traditional cloth filter for an old-time flavor coffee. Sitting on Vietnamese stools with locals surrounded, your cup of coffee will surely be more interesting!
It has been a long way far from the city center, let’s get back and enjoy a delightful lunch with specialties Bánh Xèo – Vietnamese Pancake (southern style), Bò Lá Lốt- grilled beef in Lot leaf, and Nem Cuốn – fresh spring roll with grilled pork.
Before heading back to your hotel, we explore one of the native religions called Caodaism at Saigon Cao Dai Temple. It was enlightened during Vietnam War by those who highly believe in spirit world and had been spread out even oversea. Under colorful architecture style relating to religious standard, you will be amazed by seeing the way people jointly make a prayer, with the precise timing every day.
Passing couple of bustle streets that provide all inclusive wedding services (such as wedding cards, wedding gates, etc.), we stop at a colorful flower market and a local wet market. Here you will explore the whole market area on foot and have a chance to actually buy some traditional snacks. After the markets, we’ll take you back to the central District 1 to visit some of the beautiful landmarks of Saigon such as the Reunification Palace (view from outside), War Remnant Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office, etc. All will give you a complete insight of the vibrant Saigon City.

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.
We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
