Ethical Elephant Tours are provided in many countries in South-East Asia including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand.
Ethical Elephant Experience is available at Yok Don national park in southern Vietnam where you can come and observe the park’s four elephants from a distance as they roam freely around the forest.
Yok Don national park was one of few places where elephant riding was possible in Vietnam. But the park has ended the practice since July 2018, and replaced it with the first ethical elephant experience of its kind in the country.
The park has signed on to this eco-tourism initiative until April 2023, encouraging other elephant facilities around the country to follow their example. There are believed to be 40 captive elephants in the Dak Lak province where the park is located.
