Dong Van market is located in Dong Van district, Ha Giang province in the northeastern region of Vietnam. The market is open only on Sunday, starting early morning till noon.
Dong Van market is famous for its picturesque and colorful sides and the fact that this is frequented by several ethnic minorities in the region including the H’mong, the Lo Lo, the Dzao… By either walking, motorbiking, Hmong girls and boys, young and old all gather at the market for selling and socializing.
Dong Van market is little visited by regular tourists because of the long distance between Hanoi this Karst Plateau. The area mainly attracts photographers and travelers seeking off-the-beaten path destination.
