Nha Trang to Buon Ma Thuot ItineraryDay 1: Nha Trang – Lak Lake – Jun village – M’lieng village (L,D)
8.00 am: you will be picked up by our local driver at your hotel in Nha Trang. Depart for Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak province. Buon Ma Thuot is a small but busy place. With a population of about 300,000, it is home to ethnic minorities like the Jarai and Rhade peoples. The place is historically relevant because it was the site of the last major confrontation between the North Vietnamese and South Vietnamese armies back in March 1975. These days, however, Buon Ma Thuot is better known for its coffee.
Upon arrival, you will be met up with your local guide for city tour briefing, then have lunch in local restaurant.
In the afternoon, transfer to Lak lake. Visit Jun village, enjoy 1-hour boat ride on Lak lake to see the local people fishing (dug-out canoe). Visit M’Lieng village on the other side of the lake. Walk around the village to discover the daily life of the ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. Ride an elephant for 1 hour.
In the evening, there is an option to assist to the traditional Gong music performance (on own account). Dinner and overnight in a long house-on-stilts by Lak lake.
